Gray areas

So today (and actually a lot of this school year I have been realizing) seems to be the day of discussion of hard topics. It just seems that this year I have been learning lots of new things and been encouraged to think about topics in new ways and in a different light more than ever before. The problem is that none of these things are easy things to think about and they all seem to have huge gray areas. You know, like all those questions that don't really have specific answers, but yet should be reflected upon and considered. I was talking about all of this with Katie Harms and we determined that these issues may have some black and white areas, but it is like this huge wide armspan of gray and then like a little fingerspan of black and white on each side. (Sorry, you will have to imagine the visual image of us doing this yourself as you were not here to enjoy our demonstration.) Which is what makes them hard topics. That doesn't mean we shouldn't think about them though, because they are definitely important and should be thought about. Thinking about them is just hard to do because of the complexity. But yeah, just some random ramblings from my brain. . .Life is interesting that way . . .
